Entry Requirement

A pass in the Degree of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) from The Open University of Sri Lanka or any recognized University, 1.1 with a minimum GPA of 2.70, or 1.2 minimum of second-class lower division and 1.3 including at least B Grade for any two (02) of the courses: Educational Psychology, Foundations in Education, Educational Measurement & Evaluation, or any equivalent courses, or 2.0 A pass in the Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) or Postgraduate Diploma in Special Needs in Education (PGDSNE) from The Open University of Sri Lanka or any other recognized university, 2.1 with a minimum GPA of 2.70, or 2,2. a Merit or Distinction pass and 2.3 including at least B Grade for any two (02) of the courses: Educational Psychology, Foundations in Education, Educational Measurement & Evaluation; or any equivalent courses, Or 3.0 an equivalent or higher qualification acceptable to the Senate

  • Guidance and Counselling in Education (Optional)
  • Computer Technology in Education (Optional)
  • Evaluation includes the following: i. Continuous Assessment (CA) by means of compulsory assignments. ii. Written Examination at the end of each academic year. (The eligibility to sit the final examination will depend on the marks obtained for the CA). Final awards will be given in accordance with the Rules and Regulations of the OUSL.
