Bachelor of Education (Natural Sciences)

a. Applicants should have obtained a minimum of 3 passes at the General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) Examination in three Science stream subjects at any number of sittings. b. Passes in courses equal to 30 credits at level 1 2 from among the Foundation in Science courses offered by the Open University of Sri Lanka c. A secured an equivalent or higher qualification acceptable to the Open University

• Courses offered at Level 3 / Level 4 Courses offered for levels 3 and 4 of the B.Ed. Honours in (Nat. Sc.) Degree Programme is the same as those offered for the B.Sc. Degree Programme.
• Courses offered at Levels 5 and 6 Courses offered for Levels 5 and 6 of the B.Ed. (Nat. Sc.) Degree programme are given below:

• Evaluation of this programme includes continuous assessment, laboratory work, fieldwork, teaching practice, a project and the final examination. A Student’s progress is assessed continuously throughout the course by means of assignments and at the end of the course by means of a Final Examination. Performance at continuous assessment will be considered in deciding the OCAM to sit the Final Examination
